The office covers a wide range of issues of interest to the international maritime transport sector, including major accidents, with or without oil spills, charter-parties (revision and disputes), Bills of Lading, chartering, limitation of liability, P&I, damage and loss of cargo, liability of freight forwarders and agents, general average, salvage, and all aspects involving pollution caused by ships, ports and terminals, including measures for prevention, response, mitigation and resolution of litigation.

The office also operates in the Admiralty Court in situations involving shipwreck, running aground, collision between vessels and between vessels and jetties, fouling, hull rupture with water intake, explosion, fire, beaching, unscheduled port entries, jettison, damage or defect in the installations of ships, inadequate equipment or unfitness of the vessel for service, deficiency of crew, deviation and danger.
